Materials Science for Energy Technologies (ISSN 2214-7853) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on the development and application of innovative materials for energy-related applications. The journal serves as a platform for researchers from various disciplines to present and discuss their latest findings on the design, synthesis, characterization, and application of advanced materials for energy storage, conversion, and generation.

Materials Science for Energy Technologies seeks nominations for its 2025 award, honoring outstanding contributions to energy materials and devices. The journal focuses on cutting-edge materials for energy storage and conversion.

The award will recognize contributions in the following areas:

• Synthesis, characterization, and optimization of materials for energy applications.

• Materials for triboelectric, piezoelectric, pyroelectric, and other nanogenerators.

• Materials for fuel cells, batteries, supercapacitors, and other energy storage devices.

• Materials for solar energy conversion and hydrogen production.

• Materials for energy-efficient lighting, displays, and environmental remediation.

The journal welcomes original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that advance our understanding of the role of materials science in the development of sustainable and renewable energy technologies. It encourages interdisciplinary research bridging materials science with physics, chemistry, engineering, and environmental science.

The award will be presented at the Nanoenergy and Nanosystems (NENS) 2025 conference (http://www.nens.cn). The winner will be asked to organize a special issue andwrite a paper for Materials Science for Energy Technologies (free of charge). The award will be presented with a certificate and cash prize. 

Each nomination should contain the following:

• The name and affiliation of your nominee

• A curriculum vitae/resume of your nominee

• A summary (of no more than 50 words) of their scientific merit and contribution

• A brief supporting summary of how they fulfill the conditions of the award

• Two reference letters
