现在很多国际期刊都有区域编辑。有些区域编辑是你可以选择的，比如欧洲药物化学杂志，有些是自动归属的如生物有机和药物化学/四面体等。

有些“趣事”可以分享，如四面体目前大陆作者投稿归上海有机所的林国强院士，而台湾是可以选择日本方面或者大陆方面的负责编辑；

生物有机和药物化学也实行归属管理，在欧洲投稿如果是构效关系可以发表（根据发表的文章内容判断的），而亚洲（归日本的区域编辑管理）方面则要求必须额外加上与生物大分子的相互作用内容才予以考虑同行评审。这不免让人怀疑同一期刊不同区域编辑的标准难道是不一致的？ 若是，不同区域的区域编辑的口味会决定稿子的命运，特别是没得选择的时候。

As you know, we have been receiving so many papers treating with anti-microbial/anti-fungal/insecticidal/herbicidal/anti-parasitic/anti-viral/cytotoxic/anti-oxidative agents. Our policy now has been inclined to reject papers which treat with preparation of compounds and mere evaluation of their anti-microbial/anti-fungal/insecticidal/herbicidal/anti-parasitic/anti-viral/cytotoxic/anti-oxidative activity. Your paper seems to treat with preparation of novel compounds with their chemical characterization, and usual evaluation of their antibacterial activity. To be considered for publication in Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, further investigation will be mandatory. For example, mechanistic studies/molecular level basis of your compounds/identification of the target molecule(s), comprehensive studies of SAR in relation to the logical discussion based on their interaction with their target molecule(s), etc. should be added. If your
paper is a completed one, please consider to submit your paper to other specified journals, i.e., anti-microbials/pharmaceutical science/anti-biotics/natural product chemistry-oriented journals.
