The 4^thPollinator Insects Forum

(First Announcement)

Supported by the Standing Committee of the Entomological Society of China, the Fourth Pollinator Insects Forum will be held in Beijing, 31 May - 2 June 2019. This forum is hosted by the Special Committee on Pollinator Insects, the Entomological Society of China (entsoc.ioz.ac.cn), supported by the Youth Committee of the Entomological Society of China, the Entomological Society of Beijing (http://bjinsect.com) and the Ecological Society of Beijing (http://www.esb.org.cn). This forum will be organized by Key Laboratory of Zoological Systematics and Evolution, Chinese Academy of Sciences (http://www.anisys.ioz.cas.cn ) and State Key Laboratory of Integrated Management of Pest Insects and Rodents (http://www.ipm.ioz.cas.cn). 

The forum will focus on pollinator insect diversity investigation, new methods and technologies for pollinator insect investigation, species interactions with other living organisms, and pollination service assesssment. Participants will be invited to join the committee members to discuss relevant topics for the Special Committee on Pollinator Insects, working group and capacity building. Detailed information is given below:

The major topics of this workshop

l  Business meeting by all members of Special Committee Pollinator Insects, the Entomological Society of China to discuss organization and capacity-building issues of the committee.

l  Fourth Pollinator Insects Workshop: Academic talks, discussions and conceiving potential joint proposals on pollinator insects.

Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing.

Working Language

The official language for the forum is English. English presentations with Chinese PPT or vice-versa are acceptable.

Registration fee: The registration fee is 1000 RMB for regular attendees and 600 RMB for students.
