1、征稿主题

Energy System Transition in the Carbon Neutrality Pathways

By the end of 2023, more than 160 countries committed to be carbon neutrality by 2050 or before 2060. There are already many researches about the transition pathways for the energy system with the carbon neutrality targets. However, it will make a quite different scene for energy transition in near future, along with significant progress of low carbon or zero carbon technologies especially solar PV and wind power, together with power storage, micro-grid technologies. With other driving forces including rapid temperature raising, the world need to response to climate change and make much stronger and rapid transition by 2030 or by 2035, there are new demanding to understand every aspects for quick changing of energy system in near future. In the meantime, technologies including electric vehicles, green hydrogen, and industrial product by green hydrogen are also seen a very fast progress and could make market competition right now. All these could bring a very different picture for energy supply.

This topical collection targets to present most recent studies on energy system transition, by targeting on long-term carbon neutrality timing, with focusing on new technology progress, their utilization and application, including energy system, micro-grid or independent grid, green hydrogen integrated system, and related policy assessment. Hopefully these studies could contribute to the near term energy transition related policy making and academic research.
