The 17th International Conference on Gas Geochemistry (ICGG-17) will be held in Xi'an, Shaanxi, from September 12 to 14, 2026. Themed "Gas Geochemistry and Carbon Neutrality under Multi-Sphere Interactions," the conference will bring together experts and scholars from both home and abroad in the fields of gas geochemistry, isotope geochemistry, energy resources, and environmental science.
The event will feature an opening ceremony, keynote plenary talks, specialized academic sessions, and field excursions. Discussions will focus on cutting-edge topics, including gas geochemistry in volcanic-seismic-tectonic systems, hydrocarbon gases in sedimentary basins, multi-sphere gas cycling, carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), helium and natural hydrogen resources, as well as environmental health, experimental techniques, and industrial applications of gases.
The conference aims to showcase the latest research findings and technological advancements, promote interdisciplinary integration among earth sciences, energy sciences, and environmental sciences, and deepen international cooperation.
