We had a single cup Keurig coffee make which worked well for us for several years. Then it developed this problem. When making coffee, it stops completely after filling 1/10th of the cup. Then, you have to re-start the brewing process which stops again after filling another 1/10th of the cup. You have to repeat the process eight to ten times before you can enjoy a cup of coffee. We tried the fix-it shop at the Community Center but couldn’t fix the problem. So we thought this is just old age and bought a new one to replace it. However, after another month or so, the same problem developed with the new coffee maker. Before we attempted to return the purchase, we happen to talk to out Friend, Wai-dong Wang formerly of the Lexington housing authority. He suggested a solution::
1. Open the lid of the brewing chamber where you place the coffee pod.
2. On the back of the lid in the center there is a small white sharp plastic tip which is where boiling liquid come out and pour into the coffee pod for brewing
3. There are three holes on this tip.
4. Unbend one end of a paper clip and poke the tip like a needle into every one of the three holes. Apparently depending on the coffee pod brand you use, coffee power gets into these holes and plug thing up. This causes the premature stop.
5. Once you clear up the three holes, everything works fine. We cured the problem with both our old and new coffee maker this way.
Good luck!
