One week ago, a major violent crime happened at the well known Brown University in Rhode Island where two students were killed and several other injured in a physics class building by an unknown shooter. A suspect were arrested but by forensic evidence he was found to be innocent and released. The true crimminal reamined elusive. A couple of days later, a well known MIT professor was assasinated in the lobby of the apartment building where he lived in Brookline Ma by an unknown killer. The two violent crimes appear to be unrelated but have set the entire New England states on edge. TV news of the past days were full of reporting and speculation of these two crimes that remain unsolved until last night when offciers in Salem New Hampshire via eye witness tip tracked and found the killer had killed himnself in locker of a self-storage building. The truth of these events are finaly emerging that literally can, and I am sure will, be the stuff of a best selling book to be written in the future. More facts stranger than fiction will further develop as investigation proceed further. But here is the story so far known:
Quarter of a century ago in the year 2000, a Portugese immigrant young man enrolled briefly as a graduate stuent in the physic department of the Brown University in Rhode Island.
He later lived in Miami Florida
In Novemebr this year he came back to New England and rented a car in Boston MA.. He apparently carried three other license plates that he interchangeably mounted on the rental car to confuse police investigators
Next he committed the shootingl crime in Brown University physics class where he was a graduate student 25 years ago. He escaped without detection.
Next he came to Boston and kiledl the MIT professor who turn out to be a classmate student with him in the same Portuguese university some 25+ years ago before coming to the US and MIT
He had a run in with an eye witness stranger who carefully remembered the details of his rental car and reported to the policed when these crimes were widely published in the news reports during the past week.
From this lead police were able to discoved the isolated but related facts above inclduing the evidence that he has also rented a self-storage locker in a building in Salem New Hampshire. Law enforcement officers converged onto the NH building last night found the killer had committed suicide in an empty locker of the self-storage buidling.
Finally, the three New England statse, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, can breathe a sigh of relief that the dangerous killings have been brought to a close.
One can be sure that a best selling movie and/or book will be made and written in the near future about these true but strange life events. STAY TUNED!
. My takeaway from this is:: DO NOT COMMIT MAJOR VIOLENT CRIMES IN THE US, YOU WILL BE CAUGHT!!!
