Our Covid positive experience

On Nov.6 2023, Both my wife and I woke up with cough, sneezing and runny noses. The nurse at our local resident health center came and tested us both. We were informed at noon time that both of us tested covid poisitive. Because we have had the full series of covid vaccine shots including the latest version just last month, our symptoms were mild (similar to a medium level COLD). Thus, we were immediately put on an isolation phase which means we are confined to our apartment with meal delivered to us for five days. After that we will enter the quarantine phase which means we can venture out of our apartment fully masked, must avoid human contact, can pick up our mail, but no meeting/engagement/meal with others for another five days. So far nurse check on us everyday about temperature and blood oxygen level readings to make sure our recovery is normal. If necessary, hospital stay and care are available on site. Thus, most probably we'll return to normal living by 11/17/2023. This level of care is not possible if we were living in our home alone and even with children nearby (which we don't have). We are most happy that we moved here almost two years ago and remained in this town where we have lived for 67 years. Highly recommends other seniors to do the same. Read my series of block articles (~10 of them) for the past three years about the details of our good experience with this move.
