有些诗人说，
自由是飞翔
不是行走。
于是，我试图
成为一只小鸟，
一只黑色秃鹫，或者一片云彩。
终于，
我登上一架银翼飞机，
空调的机舱，关闭的舷窗，
座椅安全带系上，我坐着一动不动。
我飞得比小鸟、秃鹫和云彩还高
但是，我有自由吗？
当我落地时
我看见
等待收获的稻田
仍在那里
那时
几只口衔稻穗的小鸟，
从我头上飞过。
英语译诗如下：
Freedom
Some poets say,
Flying is freedom
Not walking.
So, I tried
To be a bird,
a black Beatle, or maybe a cloud.
At last,
I went on an airplane, silver-winged,
air-conditioned inside, windows closed,
seatbelt tied, I sat not moving,
I flew higher than birds, vultures, and clouds
but… where is freedom?
When I landed
I saw
the harvest-ready paddy fields
were still there.
Then,
a few birds, rice spikes on their beaks,
flew over me.
