我个人觉得是个非常值得思考的问题，下面是我从自己的角度和观点来阐述，现在贴出来：希望路过的大侠能针对演讲稿存在的问题提出自己的修改意见和建议。谢谢各位，祝周末愉快！

What we cannnot afford to lose ?

Good afternoon！

Distinguished judges,ladies and gentlemen,

I am very glad to be here, sharing some of my thoughts about this topic what we cannot afford to lose.

One great guy Steve jobs once said that “we are here to put a dent in the universe, otherwise why else even be here?” This evoked my contemplation：how to put a dent? And what about those ones who do not want to be that ambitious? Those further triggered another big issue: to be whom and follow whom. Obviously, those are beyond my reach. But I still want to share a leader, which we cannot afford to lose during the process of struggling, that’s, our inner voice, our intuition.

Once I was under too much pressure, because my parents were trying to persuade me into taking part in the civil servant eaxmation, for which numerous graduates are scrambling. One of the main reasons is its stability, but I did not yeild to them. Though one one slot can beat the welfare of civil servant, I am not intersted in entering politics at all. Because engaging in politics deviates from my values, in my eyes the power should be fairly used to service common people, instead of abusing them for personal interests, while the fact is a great disappointment. I am completely disillusioned with it and my inner voice tells me that I really could not enjoy this game. Thus, I chose to pursue my master degree. Inevitably, I will encounter setbacks in the process, but I enjoy what I am learning, and my inner voice firmly believe those experiences would lay a strong foundation for my future career I love. I guess this kind of perpetual motivation should be ascribed to sticking to my own inner voice.  

Listening to the inner voice and following the intuition have become my life philosophy. Because I think the inner voice is a reflector of our subconsicious mind, which truly knows what we want to become. So when some junior students who ask me about whether they should take part in the postgraduate examination and what they should learn, I always say I am not eligible to be a life coach, and ask your inner voice if you are really into the major or just for mitigating the employment crisis；

It seems a bit unnatural for giving such suggestions, but I think that is a beneficial process to seek what they like, and the things or knowledge obsorbed by the leading of their inner voice would be invisible assets for their future.

Anyway, our time is limited, so we should not waste it living someone else's life. Should not let the noise of other's opinions drown out our own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow our heart and intuition.

Hopefully, through these little words, everyone could give a response to your inner voice，lead your life, not only live your life and eventually a better response to your life.
