Comprehensive Report Of A Quantitative Model Of Brain Information Processing And Its Details

Abstract: Literatures [1-9] suggested blood circulation is a basic timing control mechanism when brain processing information; suggested a quantitative model of brain information processing and with help of structural risk minimization theory, analysed the reason why timing control function is important when brain processing information efficiently and correctly. Literatures [10-20] introduced details of the quantitative model that suggested by literatures [1-9]. In the quantitative model, a neural network with feedback circuits is treated as a set of feed-forward networks without feedback circuits; process of storing a piece of information (eg. a graphic, or a frame of a film) into brain is described as a process of training a set of feed-forward networks with a set of samples; process of recalling a piece of information is described as a process of a set of trained feed-forward networks processing input samples. Literatures [1-20] analyse reasons why timing control function of blood circulation is important when brain processing information efficiently and correctly; introduce information processing mechanisms that enable brain to process information correctly and efficiently; introduce the origin of intelligence; introduce some basic neural network principles of ‘theorizing’; analyse the reason why there are only relative truths in cognition. There are many physiological details and mathematical details in the quantitative model. This article is a comprehensive report, introduces the quantitative model and its details that published in literatures [1-20] again, including 4 parts. Part 1 contains 6 items, introduces the basic framework of the quantitative solution. Part 2 contains 5 items, introduces some details of the quantitative solution.  Contents in Part 1 and Part 2 are about network analysis, sample definition, how to describe the process of storing a piece of information into brain as a process of training a set of feed-forward networks, how to describe the process of recalling a piece of information as a process of a set of feed-forward networks processing input samples. Part 3 contains 11 items, introduces the advantage of the information processing solution of brain: the solution, “when storing a piece of information into brain, feed-forward neural networks in the feed-forward neural network set store information in distribution characters of samples (input and output vectors), when storing and recalling a piece of information, using the mechanisms that described in literatures [1-17] ”, solves the matching problem of sample quantity and network scale when brain processing information and guarantees the reliability of information storing and recalling, result in high efficiency and accuracy of information processing; Part 3 also introduces some figures about timing control function of blood circulation. Part 4 contains 4 items; introduces some basic neural network principles of theorization; analyses the reason why there are only relative truths in cognition; analyses reasons why brain is able to process information correctly and efficiently, introduces the origin of intelligence; Part 4 also introduces another quantitative solution of brain information processing.
