论文摘要:Porous network microstructures can be directly generated on various polymer surfaces by one‐step femtosecond laser writing. Inspired by Nepenthes pitcher plant, a super‐slippery surface was fabricated based on the porous PET substrate whose surface was fully covered by interconnected nanopores. The resultant slippery surface can repel various liquids. In addition, such a surface can completely inhibit the cells growth. This is reported by Feng Chen, Xiaoyun Lu and co‐workers in article number 1701479.

论文摘要:In article number 1705792, Yupeng Zhang, Han Zhang, Qiaoliang Bao, and co‐workers report spatially controlled doping of individual organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite nanosheets through surface transfer doping. The resulting lateral p–n junctions exhibit unprecedentedly strong carrier‐depletion characteristics with an ultrabroad depletion region up to 10 μm, which leads to highly efficient photodiodes with zero power consumption.

论文摘要:We report the design of two new metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), Ru-TBP and Ru-TBP-Zn, based on Ru2 secondary building units (SBUs) and porphyrin-derived tetracarboxylate ligands. The proximity of Ru2 SBUs to porphyrin ligands facilitates multielectron transfer from excited porphyrins to Ru2 SBUs to enable efficient visible-light-driven hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in neutral water. Photophysical and electrochemical studies revealed oxidative quenching of excited porphyrin by Ru2 SBUs as the initial step of the HER process and the energetics of key intermediates in the catalytic cycle. Our work provides a new strategy to building multifunctional MOFs with synergistic ligands and SBUs for efficient photocatalysis.

论文摘要:Doped catalyst supports: Controlled H doping into MoO3 supports via H2 spillover can effectively vary the metal–support interactions with Ir, thereby achieving efficient hydrogenation of furfural to furfuryl alcohol. One of the catalysts examined showed high activity (turnover frequency: 4.62 min) and selectivity (>99 %) under mild conditions (T=30 °C, Purn:x-wiley:18614728:media:asia201800159:asia201800159-math-0001 =2 MPa). It is envisioned that further control over the nanostructures of metal oxide supports and relative H doping would boost the metal based heterogeneous catalysts.

论文摘要:In article number 1700073, Li Yu, Jiasen Zhang, and co‐workers create a directional optical travelling wave antenna based on a V‐shaped Ag nanowire, which is fed by surface plasmon modes propagating along the Ag nanowire waveguide. The surface plasmons radiate out at the corner as highly‐directional radiation. The radiation direction can be tuned by changing the surface plasmon modes. Thus, the antenna should have great potential applications in nano‐optics

论文摘要:A disposable Morpho menelaus based wearable biosensor with integration of a microfluidic system and electronic networks is presented in article number 1701306 by Zhongze Gu and co‐workers. The excellent structural and optical characteristics of the Morpho menelaus are exploited for flexible sensors, which enable biochemical‐physiological hybrid monitoring of neurodegenerative disease for the early diagnosis.
