Hereby I am asking for answers about one confusion originating from your article " Limit equilibrium method based on an approximate lower bound method with a variable factor of safety that can consider residual strength" in Computer and Geotechnics 38(2011):623-637(see Fig.1).

When I am searching for reference[15] in this article with the title "Determination of the bounds to the factor of safety and the evaluation of f(x) in slope stability analysis by lower bound method" that is also created by you as the corresponding author, a dilemma comes into being: as cited in the reference, the ref.[15] should be published in Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering ASCE 2010, 136(8):1003-1013 (see Fig.2), whereas I cannot locate the ref.[15] in the ASCE database (see Fig.3,http://ascelibrary.org/gto/resource/1/jggefk/v136/i8) according to the above address. Actually, when I searching for ref.[15] in the whole ASCE database, it responses that "no results found", the same response can be observed even searching in Google Scholar Search Engine.

It should be noted that reference gives the pages of ref.[15] ranging from pp.1003 to pp.1013(Fig.2) in vol.136, no.8, but the ASCE website indicates that the page range of 136(8) is pp.1011-1165 and that of 136(7) is pp.897-1009 (see Fig.4,ttp://ascelibrary.org/gto/resource/1/jggefk/v136/i7). Both the ranges are circled in red in Fig.3 and Fig.4. It is not normal for a famous magazine to divide one article into two issues, where pp.1003-1009 in issue 7 and pp.1010-1013 in issue 8 without the possibility that pp.1010 could be the cover.

In conclusion, some mistakes either in word editing or in citation information should made in the reference about ref.[15] of the article in C&G. With the consideration of academic rigour, I look forward to some explanations and corrections along with pardon to the venture of a infant student from Prof. Cheng.
Postscript: if possible, I would like to ask for Prof. Cheng to send me the online unaccessible PDF or manuscript of the article "Determination of the bounds to the factor of safety and the evaluation of f(x) in slope stability analysis by lower bound method", whcih should be an important literature in my paper review.

Thanks for your clarification and I recognize that I made a big mistake in addressing this article refered as pp.1103-1113 that was seen as pp.1003-1013 in wrong. I appologize for this to you and ask for your pardon.
In fact, as seen in the figure below, the ASCE online accessible article in volume 136, issue 8, pp.1103-1113 is titled as "Evaluation of Interslice Force Function and Discussion on Convergence in Slope Stability Analysis by the Lower Bound Method", but not "Determination of the bounds to the factor of safety and the evaluation of f(x) in slope stability analysis by lower bound method" that is not adopted by JGGE of ASCE, even both of the two titles lead to the same article. I think it is the answer to all of the confusion.

When I search in ICE database, it is actually located by "Géotechnique,Volume 55, Issue 7,01 September 2005 ,pages549 –556", which is the same as your attachment. It is my carelessness that leads to the misunderstanding.
