继去年于苏州成功举办“第一届城市轨道交通设施设计及管理国际论坛”后，今年该论坛将继续由香港城市大学组织。论坛于10月6日在香港举行，诚邀从事轨道交通相关研究的同行及业界管理人员参加。会议信息如下：

We cordially invite you to attend the 2^nd International Conference on Mass Transit Rail Facilities Design and Management (2^nd ICMTRFDM 2012) to be held on October 6^th, 2012 in City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. Following the success in organizing the 1^st International Conference on Mass Transit Rail Facilities Design and Management which was held in Suzhou, in August 2011, the Department of System Engineering and Engineering Management and the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering, City University of Hong Kong are jointly organized the 2^nd ICMTRFDM 2012.

The maturity of subway/ mass transit rail system, which is always regarded as the landmark of a city, represents the urban civilization and social and economic development. The Second ICMTRFDM (2012) aims at providing a platform for researchers and engineers to exchange the latest research results, advanced technologies or engineering experiences on subway/ mass transit rail services worldwide, with focuses on stations and associated structures design, passenger flow, fire safety/ security engineering, signal and information controls, video surveillance, potential risk analysis and management etc.

The topics include but are not limited to:

·         Pedestrian and passenger flow simulations for mass transit facilities;

·         Performance-based fire safety engineering for subway/ mass transit rail system;

·         Video surveillance and remote security management in subway/ mass transit rail services;

·         Comprehensive fire prevention technologies for subway/ mass transit rail system;
