Reviewer #1: The paper presents a parametric model for a word from interval-valued data which is based on the Cloud model characterized by three parameters that manage the uncertainties of a word.

The paper is well organized and its structure is right. The idea proposed in the paper is very interesting and the innovation is clear. The section IV shows the results obtained with the proposed model and a comparison with the enhanced interval approach (EIA) is carried out. However, the paper should be improved according to the following comments:

Along the paper, the authors use acronyms EIA, FOU, CWW and soon. In such cases, the acronym must be used along the paper instead of the complete words. For example, in the abstract it is explained the acronym EIA and at the end of the introduction the complete words appear again, it should be used the acronym.

The acronym FOU is used in the abstract without any explanation. All the acronyms must be explained the first time, later it is used just the acronym.

There are some sentences along the paper too repeated, for example, the sentence "a much more parsimonious parametric model for a word" appears twice in the abstract.

In the introduction, 2nd paragraph, the reference 13 can be removed, because it is a conference and the reference 14 is the journal paper, both of them have almost the same title and the authors are the same. It is better use only the reference 14 (article published in IEEE).

At the end of the section III, 2nd paragraph, the three parameters of the Cloud model are explained and they already were explained in II.A. I think it is not necessary to repeat again the same information.

The English should be revised strongly, because there are some grammar mistakes, for example, section 1, 3rd paragraph, "enough degrees of freedom to model both the uncertainties,." should be "enough degrees of freedom to model both uncertainties"

In section 1, the word trapezium should be replaced by trapezoidal.

In section II, "Let parameter He equal to 0." should be "Let parameter He be equal to 0."

Reviewer #2: This paper is well organized and develops innovative idea.

This study proposes a more parsimonious parametric model for encoding words into Cloud models from interval-valued data using fuzzy statistics and MF fitting.

The experimental results show that the proposed method in compare with the recent enhanced interval approach (EIA) obtains much thinner FOUs and also captures sufficient uncertainties of words.

However, this paper is not well written.

The problem is not clarified appropriately in abstract and introduction. I expected a few more detailed descriptions about the problem.

Some minor language flaws in this paper need to be fixed.

Also this paper needs several changes as follows:

* The acronym FOU which is used in abstract should be written by full names.

* Symbols in equation 7 should be introduced.

English of this paper needs to improve. The title is too long.

2013.7.30: Revised manuscript (R1) submitted

2013.10.1: Reviewers commented on R1

Reviewer #1: Authors have modified the paper according to the comments and suggestions provided by reviewers. They have done a big effort to improve the paper. Therefore, from my point of view, it should be accepted to be published.

Reviewer #2:

I have reviewed this paper before. The authors have modified their work and satisfied my previous comments.

The only issue is that English of this paper needs to improve again.

EiC.

We don't want to have high self-citation.
