有马朗人(Akito Arima)教授国际著名的核物理学家,是当今世界上原子核物理学界中最受推崇与爱戴的学者、朋友和同事。我们从他那里学到了很多,包括核磁矩、壳模型、集团结构以及与Franco Iachello合作的相互作用玻色子(IBM)模型。其中,IBM理论与Mayer-Jensen壳模型和Bohr-Mottelson集体模型一起,形成理论核结构的基本框架。 

有马先生在培养人才方面做出了巨大贡献。他指导了四十多名博士生和几十名博士后研究员。他们中的许多人已经成为核科学各个领域非常活跃的研究人员。他担任过非常重要的行政职务,包括日本的教育、文化、体育、科学和技术部长,东京大学校长,理化研究所理事长等。在他的职业生涯中,他促进了日本、中国、美国和许多其他国家之间的众多国际合作。

为恭贺有马先生88岁米寿生日的“原子核:简单、对称和美”国际研讨会将于2018年9月25日至28日在上海举行。借此机会,FOP刊及本次研讨会的三位主要组织者,北京大学孟杰教授、东京大学Takaharu Otsuka教授和上海交通大学赵玉民教授,邀请了来自中国、欧洲、日本和美国的科学家撰写了13篇论文,作为生日礼物赠给有马先生。感谢所有作者及为专题辛苦付出的朋友们。
