It is our great pleasure to welcome you to join the 4^th World Gene Convention-2013, which will take place in Haikou, China during November 13-16, 2013 with a theme of “The Olympic Campaign of New Biotechnology”. On behalf of the organizing committee of WGC-2013, we would like to welcome you to be the chair/speaker inTrack 5-1: Next-generation Sequencing while presenting about The roles of SbcCD and RNaseE in the transcription of GAA·TTC repeats in Escherichia coli...

In order to push the bio-economy of the Asian-Pacific region to move forward, a new 5 year plan for establishing a new Biotech Valley is launched in the early spring of 2013 by Haikou Government, the capital of Hainan Province. Meanwhile, “Nobel Across China Project”, proposed by Dr. Xiaodan Mei 10 years ago, has been approved by the local government to support the sustainable international collaboration for this region.

The 4^th WGC-2013 plans to integrate 5 con-current Congresses as the followings:

l  The 11^th Annual Congress of International Drug Discovery Science & Technology, Therapy and EXPO

l  The 4^th Annual International Congress of Medichem-2013

l  The 3^rd Annual Symposium of Drug Delivery Systems-2013

l  The 3^rd World Congress of MolMed-2013

l  The 1^st Annual Symposium of Drug Designology-2013

I believe such an initiative will be the perfect opportunity and platform to highlight the high profile permanent biotech convention, World Gene Convention (WGC) endorsed by Haikou Convention Bureau!

The conference covers a wide range of critically important themes from basic science to commercialization (you can find the tentative program on http://www.bitlifesciences.com/wgc2013/program.asp). Participants will explore the different research, business and investment activities occurring throughout the event.

Hainan Island is the capital of China’s southernmost area, it has a lot of unique tropical biological, and has attracted many multinational investors and enterprises. Being a treasure-house of bio-genetic resources, Hainan, has begun to show a bright prospect relying on some of her biotechnology development and industrialization. The industrial structure of Haikou centralizes biopharmaceutical, genetic engineering, microbial preparations and marine biotechnology. At present, there are more than 100 biotechnology companies based in Haikou bonded zone, Haikou High-tech Industry zone, America industrial village and so on.

Island Hainan, the conference place, is located in the south part of China, whose weather there is pretty pleasant. Hai Kou city is the capital of Hainan Province while it is also the biggest city on the island. On Island Hainan, you could either go visit the flower markets or enjoy the delicious seafood, bright sunshine, fresh air and beautiful scenery. I believe you will never forget it.
