Bus fare changes with season...

I finally got up the courage to take a bus yesterday, without knowing much, such as the cost. Luckily, I can read: The sign on the bus said "1.50." I was so proud of reducing my carbon footprint, and so confident that I knew my way, I kept on walking until the road ended in front of me

To be prepared for my next bus ride, I exchanged RMB5 to smaller bills and coins. I was ready for my next bus ride: I got on the bus this morning, and carefully showed the driver "1.50" as I dropped them into the slot. The driver said nothing.

After lunch, I walked to the bus stop, as ready as a native bus rider. Wait a minute, the sign says: "2.0"! I asked the driver why it's no longer "1.50," he replied: "Seasonal adjustment."

I feel guilt, but I don't know how to make up for the 50c since I will not take a bus in Hangzhou--I am leaving tomorrow morning.

Taxi shortage in Hangzhou no longer bothers me, since I know how to ride Bus K19! (But, I still need a ride to the train station tomorrow morning.)
