It is

The Worst of Times¹

Who can write the poem

For the beautiful Summer Flowers²

Since your face and heart

Are flushed with sweating flood

It is blurring

For all the things in your eyes

Even at night

Wind does not blow the dreamed-of coolness into the sky

It is

The Best of Times¹

One day

You must compose poems to remember

The heat and rain of this summer

Since future’s climate

Will make the flowers struggle to survive

Oh! Man

Wake up and sharpen your eyes

Even at this rain-soaked night

Listen deeply with a Brave Heart³

Wow! God

Is there no longer any lovely story of summer?

最坏的时光¹

谁还能为

盛夏鲜花写出诗章²？

只因你的面庞与心房

被汗雨灼得通红与发烫

你的眼中

万物都已经模糊迷茫

纵使在夜深

也无风把梦里清凉吹入穹苍

这也是

最好的时光¹

终有一日

你要把诗行典藏

记下今夏的燠热与滂滂

因未来的气候

将令花朵难以再美丽绽放

哦！我的天

快醒来擦亮目光

即便此夜雨骤风狂

也须以《勇敢的心》³深深听天地吟唱

啊！上帝

难道夏日再无温香的故事可讲？

1、英国作家Charles Dickens在《双城记》感叹第一次工业革命时代是：It was the best of times, it was the worst of times；

2、我曾在若干年前，夏天还不是像现在这样难过时，写过名为“Summer Flowers”的英文诗；

3、《勇敢的心》（Braveheart）是爱尔兰裔美国导演梅尔·吉布森（Mel Gibson）执导的电影，影片讲述苏格兰人民奋起反抗英格兰的统治不屈不挠斗争的故事。1996年，《勇敢的心》在第68届奥斯卡金像奖上获得最佳影片、最佳导演等5项奖项。
