The Center for AI and Computational Biology at the Suzhou Institute of Systems Medicine (ISM) invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant and Associate Professor levels. We welcome candidates working at the interface of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computational Biology, with a passion for innovation and interdisciplinary research.

The Suzhou Institute of Systems Medicine is a national flagship research institute jointly established by the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College. Position Description 

We are seeking exceptionally talented, early-career researchers with demonstrated potential to lead independent, cutting-edge research programs. Candidates are expected to establish and sustain an externally funded research agenda in one or more of the following domains: 

Deep learning and foundation models for biomedical research 

Protein/RNA structure and function prediction 

Multi-omics and integrative data analysis 

AI-driven molecular design and drug discovery 

Single-cell and spatial transcriptomics 

Computational approaches in oncology, immunology, or precision medicine 

Other emerging areas in AI for life sciences 

Candidate Qualifications 

A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, AI/ML, or a closely related discipline 

A strong record of publications in top-tier journals or conferences 

Proven expertise in AI model development with demonstrated applications in biomedical science 

Evidence of research independence, leadership potential, and mentoring experience 

Excellent communication and collaborative skills across disciplines
