This document contains, on the one hand, anexhaustive study of the drones’ legal framework with a focus on theGeoNumerics’ project named mapKITE. mapKITE is a patented application with somespecial characteristics in regards to the other drone applications so, for thisreason, its insertion into the European and other certain countries’regulations is important. On the other hand, it also contains the design andimplementation process of a Graphical User Interface that will be useful forchanging the mapKITE’s drone flight parameters in real time and in the mostgraphical and handy way. This is an important part because this tool will allowthe user to have maximum control over the UAV and thereby staying within thegiven regulatory parameters, although some of these drone regulations can bequite strict sometimes.
