比赛分两组， 一组需要预先安装相关的硬件设备， 另一类不需要（infrastructure-based category (systems that need to deploy custom hardware) and the infrastructure-free category） 。
成绩最好的是来自意大利的JRC， 他们利用Velodyne的激光扫描仪来定位与制图（SLAM), 精度达0.2米。
