Special Issue on

Environmental Cleaning and Bioconversion of Lignocellulosic Biomass for Value-added Bioproducts by Fungi

1

Background

The global population increase results in more and more organic waste production, including agricultural waste, forest waste, and municipal waste. Improper management or disposal of lignocellulosic biomass can result in pollution of air, water, and soil. The bioconversion by fungi offers a promising solution for waste management while producing valuable bioproducts. This special issue aims to explore the potential of fungi in the bioconversion of lignocellulosic biomass to produce value-added bioproducts and their role in environmental cleaning. Contributions may include original research papers, review articles, and short communications. The goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of the current research state in this field and identify future directions for better utilization of fungi.
