美国的Sylvan Learning Centers 在美国、加拿大等地有900多处(请见以下简介)， 我把她称为美国的课外补习学校， 在Danbury， CT也有这样一所学校， 设备和条件都不错,学校老师是在附近学校任教的一线有经验教师中兼任的， 来这里补习是一对一的，一次课程2个小时, 30美元， 相当于人民币200元, 和现在国内教教一对一需要100元一小时,绝对价格相等， 可见过内的家教费要高得多,而且环境远不如美国。国内的家教市场需要逐步走上规模化是大趋势。目前像学而思的网络化教学就很有影响。
