2020年1月23日，福建农林大学麻类研究室联合该校基因组与生物技术中心在国际生物技术著名期刊《Plant Biotechnology Journal》（植物科学一区Top期刊，IF=9.803）在线发表了题为“The genome of kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) provides insights into bast fibre and leaf shape biogenesis”的研究成果（DOI:10.1111/pbi.13341）。
为了便于学术交流，福建农林大学麻类研究室更新红麻基因组数据,并在中国国家基因组科学数据中心(（Natioanal Genomics Data Center)基因组数据库Genome Warehouse(https://ngdc.cncb.ac.cn/gwh)提交释放。The updated genome data of kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus L.) var. Fuhong 952 is deposited in GWH (https://ngdc.cncb.ac.cn/gwh) with submission ID of GWHACDB00000000.1 (BioProject: PRJCA000871,Biosample:SAMC036340).
