参加第一次三峡水力勘测、选址并设想丹江口水库坝址（南水北调中线起点）的史笃培先生全名

美国水利专家史笃培先生，1932年10月份起参加过第一次三峡水力调查，并设想了丹江口水库大坝的选址（南水北调中线起点）。
然而，他的姓名的英文全拼及事迹罕为人知，本文试图做些探析。
经广泛搜索，从一篇1941年俄勒冈州立学院的英文硕士论文中看到，史笃培先生带有头衔、接近全称的拼写是Colonel George G. Stroebe。姓名全拼为George G. Stroebe，只是中间名为一个字母。
分析表明，全称应是George Gottlieb Stroebe。这可能也是中文世界中第一次出现史笃培先生的英文全拼。
据密歇根大学网页称，George Gottlieb Stroebe1904-1905年曾在密歇根大学担任画法几何及制图学讲师，1906-1911年任菲律宾马尼拉一高校土木工程讲师。密歇根大学另有网页称，George G. Stroebe1909年就离开学校、投身于工程实践业务，但实际教职仍保留到1911年校方批准他辞职。从消息里看到，他在密歇根大学的同事Wentmore1908年也赴菲律宾一公司工作，但教职保留到1911年辞职。
