生物活性：硫酸雌酮是雌激素的一种无生物活性形式，是一种主要的循环血浆雌激素，可通过类固醇硫酸酯酶 (STS) 转化为具有生物活性的雌激素雌酮 (E1)。硫酸酮可用于乳腺癌的研究[1][2]。
体外：T47D 细胞用 SOAT 稳定转染，并在生理相关浓度的不断增加的硫酸雌酮和雌二醇浓度下孵育。 1 nM 雌二醇和硫酸雌酮显着增加细胞增殖，EC50 为 2.2 nM[3]。
