随着中国的发展，世界上越来越多的人对中国感兴趣，能有这个机会，在公开场合讲述我作为一个多年求学在外的中国国民对自己国家的理解，是非常难得的。对于西方人，能够有机会听到西方媒体之外，没有中国官方立场的一个中国公民在公开场合讨论中国的问题，应该也是不多得的机会。以下是我自己为这个讲座写的广告词。
