World famous rice scientist and academician Yuan Longping  once wrote an incription for the College of Agronomy and Biological Sciences,  Southwest Agricultural University (his alma mater, the present Southwest University) ＂追梦求实＂as the college motto.

Then how to interpret the meaning of this sentence?

Pursue our dreams with concrete action!

Or pursue our dreams and seek the truth!

Or Pursue our dreams but also face the reality!

Or Pursue our dreams and seek the essential meaning of life!

I personnally tend to think Academician Yuan encourage the alumni to "Pursue our dreams with concrete action" because he has practiced what he said in his lifetime!
