Time goes by so quickly! It has been one month since I was introduced to the ScienceNet by a new friend, who is a managing editor of a journal. It took me one day to decide this is where I want to Blog: to teach scientific writing from home, to follow closely what is going on in the Chinese science community, and to make new friends…
I never Blogged before, so I had fear naturally. The timing could not have been worse: I started Blogging on 9/13/2009, the day the net was down for service. It was Saturday morning here in Honolulu. The more I tried, the worse it got: I lost the connection to my Blog account first and then the net itself “vanished” …
That was a good test of my will to Blog, I suppose. During the first month, I have received all but one reply to my requests from the staff; I am very impressed with your service. I also like your “hands off” policy when there is a “war” 
I saw Blogs about 杨汝清老师, whose voices will stay with us forever... I discovered so many talents, so many cool names (such as 武夷山), and so many scientists who care deeply about the future of China… I also learned a new meaning of the word "

This morning, I “met” my new friend, an active figure at the net.
