中微子通讯 精选

这是今天的一篇文章。前几天CCTV希望扩展一下新闻,讲点“实用”的中微子,比如中微子通讯,审稿时我很是犹豫,该不该这么忽悠。看来胆子还得大,没有什么不可能的。

核潜艇应该有足够的能源驱动兆瓦量级的加速器,加速器小型化有可能做到直径几米。如果在岸上建立万吨级的中微子探测器(大亚湾二期的量级),实现中微子通讯也许不是梦,不过只是单向的。这种通讯不会受海水和地层的阻挡,也无法拦截和破解。

Beams of neutrinos have been proposed as a vehicle for communications under
unusual circumstances, such as direct point-to-point global communication,
communication with submarines, secure communications and interstellar
communication. We report on the performance of a low-rate communications link
established using the NuMI beam line and the MINERvA detector at Fermilab. The
link achieved a decoded data rate of 0.1 bits/sec with a bit error rate of 1%
over a distance of 1.035 km, including 240 m of earth.
