2012年世界医学物理与生物医学工程大会（World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering）将于2012年5月26 - 31日在北京国际会议中心召开。大会由国际医学物理与医学工程联合会（IUPESM）、国际医学物理组织（IOMP）、国际医学与生物工程联合会（IFMBE）、中国生物医学工程（CSBME）以及医学物理分会（CSMP）共同主办。大会主席由刘德培院士担任，会议主题为“Promoting Health Through Technology”，学术交流将围绕医学物理与生物医学工程领域的20个专题展开，详情请见www.wc2012.org。

本次大会将围绕相关领域邀请世界著名学者做大会特邀报告，目前已确定的特邀报告详见：http://www.wc2012.org/program.html

现为大会征集学术论文阶段，大会征文要求及格式详见大会网站Call for Abstract & Paper和Abstract & Paper Submission。凡参加大会学术交流的代表须通过在线系统提交半页论文摘要（300词内），经审稿录用者可参加大会交流（口头或壁报形式），大会将制作摘要CD；同时参会代表可另外选择提交2-4页的paper（模版详见网站），经审稿录用后，paper将收录于IFMBE Proceedings，由Springer制作正式出版物（CD形式），会后进入EI和ISTP检索。

Call for abstract and paper
2012 World Congress on Medical Physics & Biomedical Engineering
This is the first announcement and call for abstracts and registration for the 2012 World Congress of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering (WC2012).
The triennial World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering will be held from May 26th to 31st in 2012, at Beijing International Convention Center, Beijing, China. The congress in 2012 is hosted by International Union of Physical and Engineering Sciences in Medicine (IUPESM), International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP), International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE), Chinese society of Biomedical Engineering (CSBME) and Chinese Society of Medical Physics (CSMP). The congress theme is “Promoting Health through Technology”. Topics and workshops will include more than 20 aspects in the field of medical physics and biomedical engineering. Six state of the art scientists will be invited as the keynote and plenary speakers. Further information about the WC2012, please visit www.wc2012.org.

Submission of Abstracts and papers:
We are pleased to invite participants to submit half-page abstracts for consideration in the final program and optional papers for consideration for publication in IFMBE Proceedings. Abstracts of the World Congress will be published on CD, after a simplified review process, will be available when the World Congress opens. Full paper contributions, accepted after peer review, will be published as IFMBE Proceedings on CD and on the Internet. The IFMBE Proceedings are published by Springer Verlag and are cited in Scopus, WoS Proceedings (including ISTP, etc.), Springerlink, and Google Schoolar etc.
