For the one who wants to study English with my blog, I pasted the revision of my blog article here. It was revised by an English lady who was langugue teacher. she taught English persons to study French. I am sure you will not be misled by my poor English.

I have had a problem with sleep since I have been taking Tamoxifen. Taking Tamoxifen has given me some symptoms of the menopause. Sleeplessness is one of these symptoms.

At night I felt really hopeless when I stared at the darkness with an unclear mind. No matter how hard I tried, I just could not fall asleep. Because I knew how horrible it was, and I also knew how important sleep was for me to refresh myself. So, I tried much harder. Unfortunately, it did not work. One hopelessness led to another hopelessness, which made my life go from bad to worse and from worse to worst---really a bad circle.

When I was home, my husband was with me, I could complain to him about my situation. He would try his best to relax me. But here I am alone. When I cannot sleep, only anxiety accompanies me, I am worried and I am trying my best to avoid this situation.

So, tea and coffee are what I try my best to avoid.

Today, my supervisor invited me to have a cup of tea. I accepted because I wanted to know how I should get along with my new supervisor. Maybe there would be some kind of herbal tea which would not influence my sleep. He asked what I wanted to drink. But there was no different tea to be selected. I knew normal tea was not good for sleep, so I didn't want to drink it. There were also some pieces of bread, but it was not time for food and I was not hungry. But I wanted to be polite, so I thought it was better to take a small piece of bread. I pointed to the list to order the cheapest one......

But then my bread turned out to be a cup of coffee! Even worse than tea! My supervisor told me everything on the list was coffee, different kinds of coffee from different countries.

I told my supervisor I could not drink coffee because of my sleep problem.I asked him if he could drink this cup of coffee. He then led me to the social space for PhD students and tried to prepare another cup of tea for me.

I told him that I just wanted a cup of water if I had to drink anything.

Then he threw the cup of coffee into the dustbin and poured a cup of water for me. My poor superviser!

And poor me!  I cannot enjoy coffee: the cheapest one is 1.8 pound in England---18 RMB in China! I could eat in the school canteen back in China for the whole day with this money.
