著名工程师和发明家的名言（3）

Workflowmax网站于2020年4月提供了著名工程师和发明家的一些名言（博主：原文如此，其实有的语录的主人并非工程师，只是语录内容涉及工程或工程师），下面我翻译其中一些，与大家分享。这是第三部分。
1. “What we usually consider as impossible are simply engineering problems… there’s no law of physics preventing them.”

飞机不是凭借科学设计出来的，而是凭借技艺设计出来的，尽管有一些相反的自我标榜和谎言。我的意思不是说，做工程可以不要科学，恰恰相反，工程立足于科学基础之上，但是，科学研究与工程产品之间有巨大的鸿沟，只有靠工程师的技艺方能跨越这个鸿沟。

大桥是伟大的纪念碑，应能使一个民族的辉煌和才华为世人所知；不过人们不应该致力于在建筑学上完善大桥，因为鉴赏口味总是容易改变，而应致力于在形态和装饰上都维护大桥的坚固性，这才是正理。

工程师是对数字敏感的人，但其个性与会计师不同。

建筑师和工程师属于最幸运的人，因为他们建造自己的事业丰碑之事却经过了公众的同意和政府的批准，往往花的还是公共财政的钱。
