This morning I decided to walk to the bus stop called Lake & Covell Boulevard.So with the bag on my back I started the journey. On the way I saw a strawberryshop and, curious, I went over. "hello.." I said to the man in theshop. :How much is it for a basket?" "2.5 dollars."  "Ok, I will just but this..." Ilearned that this man was from Laos, a country close to China. Now a permanent resident, he had been in the United States for 19 years. I envy him...becauseto be honest, how I dream of being a PR....at least for the sake of gettingaway from the horrible air in BJ...

Onthe bus I talked with a girl from California . I was happy that shecould understand me very easily. I arrived at the campus about 1 hour after Istarted.

Then in 145 Young hall I attended the seminar. Axel was also there. Allyssa made a report about the role of hippocampus in resolution of working memory. I felt it not that easy to understand...but I did muster my courage to express my ideas about her conclusions. Andy finally showed some of his thoughts about arousal and memory on the white board and we discussed for a while until he said he had to head to fetch his daughter. Always he would just leave at a time when he need to take care of his daughter...which is great because it shows he is a good man and a father of love...
