“respectively” 在科技论文中经常用到，用法也简单，唯一需要折磨下的地方就是“respectively”之前是否要加逗号。

有人认为(来自小木虫leequeue)认为respectively 用来修饰句中的后面的items, 说明和前面的items的关系时，一般不用逗号隔开，比如：the cups and saucers cost 5 and 3 respectively. 但是只有一句主词时，respectively 就不是用作修饰后面两个items,只是补充整个句子的意思，比如：the weights of the two experts are 0.6 and 0.4, respectively.

当然，也有人认为用不用逗号，看句子的复杂程度，加入句子不是很复杂，不用逗号也可以，比如：

Dan and Don are dubm and dumber respectively; Her first and second sons were named Mak and Anthony respectively. 但是句子复杂为了表达清晰，就需要用逗号，比如：The values of prostaglandin, EP-12, and catechin in the cholesterol-treated and control groups were 12.6, 4.8, 3.2, respectively.

在文章中也看到这样的句子“The nomenclatures RP, EP1 and EP2 refer to the piles that are mechanically tested(loading until failture) and thermo-mechanically tested(thermal loading 15℃ and 30℃ repspectively, and mechanical loading until failture) in this study”,似乎也不能用上面的来解释。
