The Biochemical Journal publishes papers in English in all fields of biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology, provided that they make a sufficient contribution to knowledge in these fields. Papers may include new results obtained experimentally, descriptions of new experimental methods of biochemical importance, or new interpretations of existing results. Novel theoretical contributions will be considered, although these papers should also contain some experimental testing of the theory. All work presented should have as its aim the development of biochemical concepts rather than the mere recording of facts. Preliminary, confirmatory or inconclusive work will not be published. 5月4日，英国《生物化学杂志》（Biochemical Journal）中国编辑部成立大会在中科院生物物理所研究所召开，生物物理所研究所所长徐涛主持了大会，《生物化学杂志》杂志主编Peter Shepherd教授，英国生化协会代表Pauline Starley、Kerry Cole、Adam Marshall以及各个科学领域的专家学者到会。

 

《生物化学杂志》是一份历史悠久的生命科学核心期刊，1906年开始发行。作为半月刊，《生物化学杂志》每年发表4500页以上的优秀科学报告，涵盖生物化学和细胞及分子生物学的方方面面。
