《闻香识女人》是部老片了，请不要因为他的标题简单的认为这是一部风月或者香艳的电影，他有着俗套却又精彩而严肃的内涵。

片中，上校因为双目失明而失去了活下去的勇气，他决定在临死前狠狠地享受一下人世的欢乐。查理是一个性格单纯的中学生，刚刚目睹了一起针对校长的恶作剧活动，应聘当了上校的“双眼”。

这样的两个人，走到了一起，走在纽约的街头，出现了一幕幕的不协调。上校刚愎的军人性格根本不允许查理反对他的种种安排，而单纯的查理一面要应付这个因为绝望和自卑而有些神经质的老头，一面还要纠结着临行前校长对他的逼供。当他知道了上校的自杀意图后，他竭尽全力阻止，即使面对着上校的枪口也不曾退缩。查理对上校的一番评价，或者说是查理的坚持，终于重新建立了上校对人生的希望，他放弃了自杀。

回到学校的查理立刻就面对着校长的公开审讯，上校坐到了他的身旁。和查理同时目击的同学出身校董家庭，在侦讯会上可耻的将出卖朋友的责任丢给了查理。最后的时刻，查理就像顶住了上校的枪口一样顶住了校长的质询，坚持不说出目睹的结果。就在校长宣布要开除查理的时候，上校站了出来对所有的听众一番质询。最后，生活委员会给出了结果，查理不必受任何处分。

这一番质询是整部电影中我最喜欢的台词，转摘如下：
President: Mr.Willis's testimony is not only vague, it is unsubstantiated. The substance i was looking for, Mr.Simms was to come from you.

Simms: I'm sorry.

President: I'm sorry too. beacuse you know what i'm going to do, inasmuch as i can't punish Mr.Havemeyer, Mr.Potter or Mr.Jameson? And I won't punish Mr.willis. He's the only party to this incident who is still worthyof calling himeself a Baird man.I'm goning to recommend to the disciplinary Committee that you be expelled. Mr.Simms, you are a cover-up artist and you are a liar.

Colonel: But not a snitch!

President: Excuse me?

Colonel: No,i don't think i will.

President: Mr.Slade.

Colonel: This is such a crock of shit!

President: Please watch your language, Mr.slade. You are in the Baird school, not a barracks. Mr.Simms, I will give you one final opportunity speak up.

Colonel: Mr.Simms doesn't want it. He doesn't need to be labeled "still worthy of being Barid man". What hell is that? What is your motto here? "Boys,inform on your classmates,save your hide,anything short of that, we're gonna burn you at the stake? Well, gentlemen, when the shit hits the fan,some guys run and some guys stay.  here is Charlie facing the fire, and there's George hiding in big daddy's pocket.and what are you doing. you're gonna reward George and destory Charlie.

President: Are you finished, Mr.slade?

Colonel: No,I'm just getting warmed up. I don't konw who went to this place, William Howard Taft, William Jennings Bryant, William Tell, whoever. This spirit is dead, if they ever had one, it's gone. you're building a rat ship here, a vessel for seagoing snitches. And if you think you're preparing these minnows for manhood, you better think again. beacuse i say you are killing the very spirit this institution proclaims it instills. What a shame!  What kind of a show are you guys putting on here today? I mean, the only class in this act is sitting next to me.I'm here to tell you this boy's soul is intact.it's non-negotiable. You konw how i know? Someone here, and I'm not gonna say who, offered to buy it.Only Charlie here wasn't selling.

President: sir,you're out of order.

Colonel: I show you out of order. Yon don't konw what out of order is, Mr.Trask. I'd show you, but I'm too old, I'm too tired, too fucking blind. if i were the man I was five years ago, i'd take a flamethrower to this place. out of order? Who the hell you think you're talking to? I've been around you know? There was a time I could see and I have seen boys like these, younger than these, their arms torn out, their legs ripped off. But there is nothing like sight of an amputated spirit. There is no prosthetic for that. You think you're merely sending this splendid foot soldier back home to Oregon with his tail between his legs, but I say you are executing his soul! And why? Beacuse he's not a Barid man. Barid man, You hurt this boy. you're gonna be Baird bums, the lot of you. And Harry, Jimmy, Trent,wherever you are out there, fuck you too!

President: Stand down,Mr.slade.

Colonel: I'm not finished! As I came in here, I heard those words: "Cradle of leadership."  Well, when the bough breaks, the cradle will fall, and it has fallen here, It has fallen. Makers of men,creators of leaders, Be careful what kind of leaders you're producing here. I don't know if Charlie's silence here today is right or wrong; I'm not a judge or jury. But i can tell you this: he won't sell anybody out to buy his future!

Colonel: And that,my friends,is called integrity. That's called courage. Now that's the stuff leaders should be made of. Now i have come to the crossroads in my life. I always knew what the right path was, Without exeception, I knew, but I nerver took it.You know why? It was too damn hard. Now here's Charlie. he is come to the crossroads, he has chosen a path. It's the right path. It's a path made of principle that leads to character. Let him continue on his journey. You hold this boy's future in your hands,Committee. It's a valuable future. believe me. Don't destory it, protect it, embrace it. it's gonna make you proud one day, I promise you.

文字远不如阿尔帕西诺的表演精彩，尤其是拍案而起的一幕，实在是振奋人心^_^
好了，该反思一下我们自己了。这么多年来，我们的教育究竟在宣扬着怎样的道德观？小学生向老师打小报告会受到表扬甚至还有小红花的奖励；中学生为了一纸通知书互相之间尔虞我诈，一份辅导材料收藏的好似九阴真经一般；大学生要对辅导员逢迎拍马才能当上班干部，“民选”出来的学生会主席一上任便将自己的竞选承诺抛诸脑后，第一件事是去见团委书记……

子曰：“弟子，入则孝，出则悌，谨而信，泛爱众而亲仁。行有余力，则以学文。”
任何一种教育，首先应该教会学生怎样做人。可惜，老祖宗的话我们已经遗忘了太久……
