女人的活

我有孩子要照顾

我有衣服要缝补

地板需要我擦

食物要买回家

然后又要炸鸡做饭

宝宝的尿布也得换

客人我得管他们饱

还要去园子里除草

我有衬衫需要熨烫

孩子的衣服得做上

有罐头需要打开

屋子得清除尘埃

然后要把病人照料到家

还要去地里摘棉花。

阳光啊，照耀我吧

雨水啊，浇在我身上吧
露滴呀，请温柔地落下

再次冷却我灼热的面颊。

风暴啊，用你猛烈的风

把我吹走吧

让我在天空飘荡

直到我能安稳地落在一个地方。

雪花呀，请轻轻地降临

用你清凉的吻

抚慰我的全身

让我今夜睡得安宁。

太阳、雨水、苍穹

海洋、叶片、石头和山阿

璀璨的星光，缱绻的月光

只有你们才属于我。

Woman Work

I've got the children to tend
The clothes to mend
The floor to mop
The food to shop
Then the chicken to fry
The baby to dry
I got company to feed
The garden to weed
I've got shirts to press
The tots to dress
The can to be cut
I gotta clean up this hut
Then see about the sick
And the cotton to pick.

Shine on me, sunshine
Rain on me, rain
Fall softly, dewdrops
And cool my brow again.

Storm, blow me from here
With your fiercest wind
Let me float across the sky
'Til I can rest again.

Fall gently, snowflakes
Cover me with white
Cold icy kisses and
Let me rest tonight.

Sun, rain, curving sky
Mountain, oceans, leaf and stone
Star shine, moon glow
You're all that I can call my own.
