随着炎炎夏日的来到，会议扎堆的季节也到了。

做平滑肌研究的科学家们，您也许可以考虑一下这个会议—第三届基辅(乌克兰)平滑肌生理、生物物理及药理学研讨会(The 3^rd Kyiv International Symposium on Smooth Muscle Physiology, Biophysics and Pharmacology)，毕竟乌克兰好像还比较平安。

该会议将于9月17—22日在乌克兰基辅召开（会议网址：http://smphys.in.ua/index.php），研讨会邀请了来自英美韩等国家的一些杰出科学家来作报告。研讨会的第二部分，将在位于位于卢茨克的Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University举行，组委会计划与欧洲几个生物物理学会一起组织该部分会议。如果您去研讨会做报告并且有兴趣，还可以在第三届国际生物医学学校为学生们（包括大学生及研究生）授课，国际学校将与该研讨会同时开办。

如果您不做平滑肌研究，或不想去参会，那么位于北京西三环外，万寿路与老中央市台之间的基辅餐厅却是值得一去。那里不仅饭菜味道不错，还有乌克兰演员现场表演节目。后来看了杨屏的文章“基辅餐厅之感慨“，才知道现场表演的竟是乌克兰国家功勋演员，更是相当感慨。这里摘录杨屏文章的几段：

”果不其然，餐厅里的乌克兰功勋演员们绝非滥竽充数，无论是合唱，还是独唱，没有相当深厚的造诣，是不可能达到他们现场极高水平的演唱效果的。演员们的翩翩风度，端庄气质，明明确确地传达出了他们的严肃认真。

看着看着，我的眼睛突然湿润了。我一瞬间想起一件往事。1990年，俄罗斯国家大马戏团受邀到洛阳炼油厂演出。演出之前，厂办主任刘明银悄悄对厂长王安顺说：俄罗斯演员们餐桌上的可乐都被他们偷偷装进自己口袋里了。怎么办?俄罗斯人能喝酒，且普遍酒量很大。由于晚上要演出，炼油厂虽是宴请，没有上酒，而是给每个餐桌上配了听装的可乐。刘明银问王安顺的意思，宴请开始之前，还给不给餐桌上配可乐？王安顺出乎意外地问刘明银：咱们库房里还有多少可乐?够不够给每个演员送一箱的？当得知库存充足的时候，王安顺果断决定，每个人送一箱给俄罗斯的演员们，马上。我不想用任何词汇描写俄罗斯演员们现场惊喜、惊讶的表情。但是，深深记住了王安顺厂长当时的一句话：当年的苏联多强大呀！

又是26年过去了。在中国地下室的餐厅里，我看见了当年苏联的一级功勋演员，已经年迈的他，在虔诚地演唱。

……

没有伟大的国家，哪有伟大的演员？任何一个人的命运，无时不刻不与身后的国家相连！”
