Dear Colleagues,

Metals and radionuclide separation are important issues for industry and environmental protection. On the one hand, useful metals (such as lithium, uranium, cesium, rubidium, etc.) can be obtained from salt lakes and sea through separation methods. On the other hand, heavy metals and radionuclides, such as problematic pollutants sourced from different industrial sectors, nuclear power plants, electronic waste and mining activities, should be removed from water to protect the environment.

Many methods, such as adsorption, ion exchange, membrane separation, extraction, chemical precipitation, electrochemical technology, bioremediation, etc., have been developed for metal and radionuclide separation. Various advanced materials are employed in such separations.

In the current Special Issue, we welcome contributions from researchers dealing with metals and radionuclide separation, including but not limited to:

• Separation methods and technology;

• Advanced materials for separation;

• Process intensification;

• Theoretical simulation;

• Carbon footprint analysis of separation.

For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
