Ferreira’s current scientific interests are focused on organic/inorganic hybrids foreseeing applications in the fields of optoelectronics /green photonics (solid-state lighting, and integrated optics), photovoltaics (luminescent solar concentrators and down-shifting layers) and single-ion and single-molecule magnets.
