Time of Perovskite Solar Cells Exceeding 16% 钙钛矿电池评论

With two of the three manuscripts from Seok from KRICT published on EES and JACS, the perovskite solar cells come to the PCE>16% time, relying on the beautiful layer of perovskite prepared by the new solution technique (the third manuscript on the solution technique still remains not appeared).

Very important information is also included in the as-published two papers, which points out the direction of further promotion of the perovskite solar performance. That is the best HTM materials (PTAA and Spiro-OMetad) could be furthermore engineered to generate a boost in perovskite solar cells.

At the same time, it is worth to note the TiO2 on the other side, another limiting factor of perovskite solar cells. The intrinc charge mobility of perovskite is around 25c㎡/V-s , which is several orders higher than meso-TiO2.To engineering or replace the TiO2 will raise new revolution of PSSC. Therefore, the OPV people may have more chances although a PSSC employing an OPV structure is a little lower in PCE at this stage.


The Shockley- Queisser efficiency limit asserts that ultimate solar cell conversion efficiency can never exceed 34% for a single optimized semiconductor junction. But for perovksite, who knows?
