到2013年6月,氢气治疗疾病的临床研究仍比较少,全部论文有11篇,其中日本学者报道的有10篇论文,分别为注射氢气生理盐水治疗类风湿关节炎,脑干缺血和皮肤病,用饮用氢气水肌肉病、治疗巴金森病、间质性膀胱炎、代谢综合征、糖尿病和肝癌反射治疗引起的生活质量下降,透析液溶解氢气对抗血液透析副作用。中国学者报道2篇,分别是代谢综合征和慢性乙型肝炎。
在治疗方法上,主要有注射氢气生理盐水和饮用氢气饱和水两大类,也有将氢气溶解到透析液中。其中最具有创新性的是注射氢气生理盐水,因为该方法本身采用一种非常聪明的技术,就是在不打开普通生理盐水包装的情况下,利用包装材料的透气性把氢气溶解在生理盐水中,这样就可以不需要专门申请氢气生理盐水批准的情况下开展临床研究。虽然这样作有一些不方便,但给这种治疗方法积累了重要经验,也给将来开展相关研究提供了借鉴,因此非常值得肯定。
