英语里有一个词golden years，汉语一般译为“黄金岁月、黄金时代、黄金年华、金色年华、流金岁月、黄金年代”等，但到底是多少岁呢？

为什么用golden years来指退休后呢？一篇文章《The Golden Years...Not So Golden》里说：While our years of retirement,  or what some refer to as our “golden years,” are generally thought of as the period in which we comfortably transition into our final stage of life and enjoy the fruits of our labor.

golden years笼统来说，就是老年，晚年，通常以退休为标记，按照美国男人平均退休年龄或传统的退休年龄而言，就是65岁之后。但实际上平均退休年龄随年代和性别而变化。
