下面的2018自然指数——物理科学（physical-sciences）Top100一览表是基于2017年元旦到2017年12月31日的自然指数数据给出的，其中既有2016年自然分数（FC 2016）,也有2017年的自然分数（FC 2017）,还有2017年的AC(AC 2017）以及2016-2017年FC值的变化百分比（Change in Adjusted FC 2016-2017），中国科学院名列第一；德国马克斯·普朗克协会（Max Planck Society）名列第二，法国国家科学研究中心(French National Centre for Scientific Research, CNRS)名列第三,日本东京大学（The University of Tokyo） 名列第四，第五名是美国麻省理工学院（MIT）。中国有15家机构榜上有名,其中包括中国科学院（1）、清华大学（9）、北京大学（12）、中国科大（14）、南京大学（17）、浙江大学（33）、苏州大学（37）、中科院大学（41）、中科院物理所（45）、复旦大学（54）、上海交大（62）、华中科技大学（68）、西安交大（70）、中科院纳米科技中心（71）以及香港科技大学（87），更多信息请注意浏览下表。

The 2018 tables are based on Nature Index data from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2017.

Each year, the Nature Index publishes tables based on counts of high-quality research outputs in the previous calendar year. It is important for users to understand that the data behind the tables are based on a relatively small proportion of total research papers, that they cover the natural sciences only and that outputs are non-normalized (that is, they don’t reflect the size of the country or institution, or its overall research output). We encourage users to combine the free-to-access Nature Index data with information from other sources.

The tables were last updated on 7 June 2018 with the most recent institution and article corrections.

*The change in adjusted FC accounts for the small annual variation in the total number of articles in Nature Index journals. FC values have been adjusted to 2017 levels to calculate the percentage change. For more information on the adjustment, please see the Adjusted metric explainer.
