我已经很久不看英文书了。洋文看着太累，懒得读。
最近有点时间，翻出来谢力老师多次提过的加文（Richard Garwin）的传记。居然很快就读完了，因为这本书真的很有意思，可以算是我最近几年看过的最有意思的书了。
True Genius: The Life and Work of Richard Garwin, the Most Influential Scientist You've Never Heard of.
这是我看过的第二本以True Genius为名的书了，上一本是巴丁（John Bardeen）的传记。巴丁是天才，但他是沉闷的天才。加文也是天才，也不喜欢自我宣传，但他是另一种类型的人。
在我看来，这本书有意思的程度大概可以像费曼的自传，Surely you are joking, Mr. Feynman，甚至可能更有意思，因为它不像那本书那么闹腾。
这本书里不仅有很多有意思的事情，还有很多有趣的评论，比如说，
Many people don't want their problems solved. Their problems are their security, their paycheck.
It's not always an easy thing to have meaningful problems posed with enough freedom so that we can look at them.
我不想写书评了，因为这本书现在还是英文版。应该出个中文版，让更多的人知道。如果有中文版出来，我不介意再读几遍，甚至写个书评什么的。
